Even though we are already 3 days into August, I figured I’d share my August Goals with you all so that I can keep myself more accountable & motivated to achieve them all!
Try Out 1 New Vegan Recipe A Week -> I’ve already been trying out lots of new recipes but not as consistently as I want to be. I already picked out August recipes so I just need to stick to when I plan on cooking them! Another positive about transitioning to a plant based diet is being forced to try out a bunch of new food to keep things interesting.
Complete My Goodness 31 Day Core & Fitness Challenges -> These are two separate challenges that Jordyn @ My Goodness is hosting. What I like about these workouts are they are quick yet effective. Today marks the start of the Fitness Challenge. There are 3 workouts for each week and you can complete them on whatever day you choose as long as they get done. The Core Challenge (below) is each day with a rest day every 5 days. Hop on board!
Hit All My Training Runs -> July wasn’t the best training month for me & it’s my own fault. While I did hit most of my training runs, I just didn’t feel in the groove or that great about them. As of last week, I’m finally feeling good about my training so I’m looking forward to a much better month.
Read 3 Books -> On the list: Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer, Ultramarathon Man by Dean Karnazes, and The Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone (aka Cher from Clueless, duh).
Finish My Running Corner -> I’m planning on creating a little area for all my running stuff so that 1- it stays together in one spot, 2- all my sneakers don’t continue to take over the kitchen, and 3- my bibs/medals aren’t hidden away in a box… but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. I will get it organized & the bibs/medals up on a wall before September rolls around! Stay tuned.
Stick To A 5am Routine -> I’m still kicking myself in the butt for falling out of this routine. With that said, I’ve got 1 full week of 5am’s under my belt & ready to continue with it!
